You yell downstairs, “Hey, a Bobby James is at the door?  Do you know him?”

The gaggle of girls gets quiet, starts giggling again, and after a moment of applying more hairspray and makeup, they rush upstairs past you.  You knew they know Bobby.  He’s the most popular guy in eighth grade.

You turn on the TV and sit down to watch.  It’s Dungeons and Dragons and the hero is about the sneak into the Dragon’s Lair to save the fair maiden.  You get three bites into your cereal until your sister runs down and screams, “You little monster!!!” She jumps on the couch and starts pulling your hair.

You start to fight back when you hear a crash of lightning… at first you think it’s on the TV, but it’s incredibly loud and the white light is blinding.  When you come to, you’re alone and instead of the basement, you’re in the countryside near a medieval village.  You’re wearing knight’s armor.  In the distance, there’s a lair that looks suspiciously like a dragon’s.

You surmise that you have three courses of action.  You can check out the village (22).  You can storm into the lair and fight (23).  Or, you can sneak in and assess the situation (24).
