It’s Saturday morning and you’re a ten year old kid.  It’s nineteen eighty-something, so no one is watching you too closely, and you can forget about your homework until at least tomorrow night.  The world, at least, the world you can reach on your bike without crossing over the two highways that border your town, Cornerville, is your oyster.  You have some big choices.

Do you want to stay home and watch cartoons(1)?  You really want to know what happens on the next episode of Thundercats, but your bratty teenage sister had a sleepover last night and ALL her friends are still here.

Do you want to ride your bike?  You can either head down to the train tracks (2), where you like to hang out when you want to be alone, or ride to your best friend’s house(3).
