Your mom always told you that it was dangerous to flatten coins on the tracks, because one could fly out and hit you.  What’s the chance of that?  You place a bunch of pennies at various places on the track and then hid behind a bush, because you’re pretty sure your mom is being ridiculous, but you feel better taking some precautions.

As the train comes by, you see the conductor waving, and you don’t want to be rude.  You pop up and wave back.  Just as you make the “honk the horn” motion with your hand, you see a glint of metal fly out in your direction.  Suddenly, you’re on back, and as you touch your neck and look at your fingers, you’re bleeding.  A lot.  You drag yourself to your bike, but you’re woozy and fall down right away.

You had to hop a fence and run through an abandoned field to get here, so no one will be coming along to help.  Your mom won’t expect you home until dinner, so they don’t find your body until the next day.

THE END.  Try again.
