You head south, trying to remember where you saw the glimmer from the tree fort.  You and your best friend walk for hours and see nothing.  No glimmer, you never find the creek again, and you and your best friend have an argument after the sun goes down and you both storm off in separate directions.

You wander until the sun comes up again and into the next day.  You’re getting desperate and are about to eat some berries from a tree when the search party finds you.

“What are you doing?  Those are poisonous!  Have you eaten any of those yet?” scolds the policeman.

You shake your head.  “Not yet,” you say, and instead of rushing you to the hospital, they rush you home.

Your best friend is happy to see you and gives you a hug, and so does your mom.  But, it doesn’t save you from being grounded and banned from the woods until you’re 18 years old.

THE END – try again.
